English Elocution
The English Elocution Competition, held on 18th July 2025 at Auxilium Convent High School, Wadala, featured students from grades 5 to 10, with the 8th to 10th graders performing in Sr Berta’s Hall and the 5th to 7th graders in the basement. The event was graced by a distinguished panel of judges, including Ms. Jenella Dias, Ms. Pearl Dsouza, Ms. Chryshelle Fernandes, Ms. Abigail Tixeira, and Ms. Sonali D Silva. The competition kicked off with a vibrant choral recitation by the four school houses, showcasing teamwork, voice modulation, and creative expression. Following this, students from grades 5 to 7 delivered individual elocutions, displaying impressive voice modulation and thoughtfulness. For the older students, the individual elocution competition centered around significant themes like "International Year of Quantum Science and Technology," "The International Year of Glaciers," and "The International Year of Cooperatives," allowing participants to demonstrate their public speaking skills and critical thinking. The event concluded with the announcement of winners by Sr. Kalyani Subramanya and the judges, who delivered inspiring addresses, encouraging the students to value participation as a mark of success. The competition was a great success, showcasing the creativity, language proficiency, and communication skills of the students, leaving the audience thoroughly engaged.
